Privacy Policy
Calima Workforce Solutions Pty Ltd (“Calima”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy and handles personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and — for individuals in New Zealand — the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
1. Who this applies to
This policy covers personal information we collect from clients and enquirers (people asking us to supply workers or fill roles) and from candidates and workers (people seeking work through us, in Australia, New Zealand or internationally).
2. What we collect
- Enquirers: name, company, email, phone, and the details of your enquiry.
- Candidates & workers: contact details, work history, qualifications, licences and tickets, right-to-work and visa information, and other information relevant to placing you in work. Some of this may be sensitive information, which we collect only with your consent and only where necessary.
3. Why we collect it
To respond to enquiries; to match workers to roles; to coordinate placement, onboarding and (where relevant) visa and relocation processes with appropriate partners; to meet legal, payroll and compliance obligations; and to improve our services.
4. Overseas disclosure
Because Calima operates a global Latin-American talent network, we may disclose personal information overseas. This can include:
- In-country Employer-of-Record and recruitment partners in Latin America and other regions, where we coordinate employment or placement on the ground.
- Service providers that store or process data on our behalf, including our customer-relationship platform (HubSpot, United States) and our email delivery provider (Resend, United States).
Where we disclose your information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled appropriately. By submitting a candidate enquiry and ticking the consent box, you consent to this overseas disclosure where relevant to your placement.
5. Migration & visa information
Where a placement involves a visa, immigration outcomes are decided solely by the relevant government authority. Migration advice is provided only by appropriately registered migration agents or lawyers — Calima coordinates the process but does not provide migration advice or guarantee any immigration outcome.
6. Storage & security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, including secured systems and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
7. Access, correction & complaints
You may ask us for access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you. To do so, or to make a privacy complaint, contact us at info@calimagroup.com.au. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au, or — in New Zealand — the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always available at https://calimagroup.com.au/privacy/.
